I HAVE ARRIVED!
I made it to Toronto safe and sound! Heading out for a map and a mobile today c: Get my explorer on [pity I don’t have a Jake shirt XD /shot/]
Anyway just letting you know I’m safe.
This was late due to arriving at butts o’clock last night and only just getting the wifi password.
Also I ate pretzel M&Ms on the plane. Fuck they were good.
At a bowl of Lucky Charms….they’re….really delicious XD
And not super duper sweet like fruit loops >w<

Today was an adventure!
I intend to has as many mini adventures as I can on my big adventure.
I didn’t sleep well. Finally crashed around 2am. Woke up at 6:30am. Damn. Slept an hour more. I can hear people moving around downstairs so I have breakfast with Connie’s sister [who lives here as well] before coming back up and getting another half hour/hours rest.
I decide I need to go out and get my bearings and some way to contact people.
A trip that should take me an hour took me about 3 cause I got lost and I dawdled and explored. I found a nearby subway station but upon inspect on the subway map I got from there, there is a closer one C:
I found a shopping centre and a mall where I got boring things like shampoo and more socks and then found more pretzel M&Ms [those things are seriously good guys! Sweet and just a little big salty and really crunchy <3]
I found a store devoted entirely to different flavours of popcorn [I shit you not - I’ll take a photo next time] and a store that sells cinnamon scrolls called Cinnabon [they’re yummy but coated in glaze >w<]
I missed dinner with the family because i fell asleep. Didn’t think I was that tired D| but they didn’t mind too much.
It’s 9pm and still light outside which is odd, but whatever.
Tomorrow I shall figure out the subway stations and how to get to school!
Also I got a new sim card for my phone that gives me a number in Toronto so if you’re dying to call me and want to enjoy some international phone bills you’re welcome to call me [this is directed at my friend’s back home <3]

Discoveries about the family I’m staying with:
Andy whistles constantly. No tune. Just high pitched noise all the time. Even at the dinner table. [I might be going a bit insane from it]
Matthew plays video games. Uncharted and AC are the two series he’s working his way through. Which gives me something to talk to him about C:
Connie is very worried about my eating habits. She’s a nurse so she thinks the fact that I don’t eat actual lunch is odd. I pick throughout the day so I am eating, just at weird times. I also eat smaller portions than everyone here.
Rick is very quiet, but very nice. He doesn’t say much and can seem a bit stand-offish but he’s cool.
Connie’s sister is a ninja. She comes and goes from the house and you’re never sure if she’s here or not. Starting to freak me out XD
This house is a natural amplifier. The right kind of sound [or wrong depending how you look at it] can be hear all the way from the basement to the second floor. Andy’s whistling for example. And the little beepy alarm that goes off when the door opens.
No one here knows what a wombat or possum is. Or an echidna. I had no photos to show them. I told them a wombat is pretty much a walking boulder that’ll take out the bottom of your car if you run over it. No possums are not like opossums. And there’s actually a massive difference between echidnas and porcupines.

Today’s skull WIP. Came in today to find the teacher had smashed our skulls and today we were remaking them XD

So I’ve taken it upon myself to order something strange every time I go to the Starbucks near school.
I go in with something vague like ‘cold, sweet, with coffee’. That’s it. They get creative. Thy seriously seem to enjoy me coming in and after only 3 days I’m classified as a regular and they gave me today’s concoction on the house X3
Monday I had a white mocha vanilla frappachino. Tuesday something that’s not on the menu anymore but has cinnamon. Today was a white mocha coconut and something else. So far they’ve all been fucking delicious. The girl who serves me is called Catherine and the barista is Lewis. They’re both really lovely -
